<h2>Enrichment Modules:</h2>

<strong><i>Life of a Sailor</i></strong>

Students absorb details about sailors’ lives aboard wooden sailing ships on ocean voyages in centuries past. What they learn is reinforced by the opportunity to perform several of the sailors’ daily tasks – including the treatment of scurvy!

<i><strong>Dutch Masters and Drawing Techniques</strong></i>

Introduces students to the art of Dutch seascape painters of the 1600s and their observations of everyday life in Holland during that era. Students create their own “masterpieces” when they draw their own Dutch sailing ship, with guidance from the Masters.
